Did Tillis actually meet with her? I'd be very surprised if he did. Republican lawmakers are avoiding constituents ... well, at least those who aren't bring bags of cash.
Unfortunately he didn’t meet with us, but, the staff was very kind and took the time to listen to us and take information and stories from the families there and constituents of his back in NC, which we appreciated- and was much more than we got in Budd’s office.
Kudos to you for having the time & resources to go in person. IMHO and in my experience, this is NOT what Republican lawmakers want; i.e., to be held accountable by constituents.
I also have a medically complex son and it’s only because of HCBS that I am able to do this. If Medicaid cuts happen, he won’t even be able to live at home with me or go to school. I fight for all of our children.

Well birth rates in developed countries are low, even in places with child support and national health care, because people who are doing well generally have good reproductive medicine options and understand that it's much easier to live with few children, or even none at all.
