Except, of course, for the German far-right party who Musk was addressing.
The center of gravity for that new far right is Eastern Germany where education (in GDR times) did NOT focus on teaching the Holocaust history. So there is a clear gap there. At 9th grade, our class made a field trip to the Dachau memorial site. It was moving but what we learned was not new to us.
They can’t get enough votes to form a government.
Okay, but the point is they exist. And did much better than expected in September. There is no reason to think that anti-immigration sentiment fueling the far right will be irrelevant across Europe in the coming years. www.americanprogress.org/article/a-be...
