The threat is the point. Think of the Durham investigation and all the innocent people who had to hire $1000 per hour white collar lawyers to represent them during that investigation.

We should all simply refuse to self-censor ourselves. Worst case, become a martyr and reap the rewards from center/left voters next time around. You know what’s a sure loser of a strategy? Not speaking out. Letting fear suppress dissent.
