3/5 What was supposed to happen was that The Impoundment Control Act was supposed to strengthen the "power of the purse" that Congress holds as a check on a runaway executive. But we don't have that. We have a Congress full of obsequious #GOP performative lying liars that lie. No check. Enablers.
4/5 So no, the maladministration is not supposed to be able to withhold funds from states, but this Congress will allow that to happen. The #RuleofLaw is barely a shadow of what it once was. Democracy has crumbled to a #fascist hellscape (in blue cities). Rural areas will suffer soon.
5/5 The way out is through. Being an ostrich is no longer acceptable. You may not like politics, but it damn sure is on your kitchen table. Blue states' troubles are just beginning, and they will need our help. Do what you can, when you can. Everything matters. Organize, mobilize, #VOTE #Resist
