He was arrested, tried, and convicted on 34 felony counts (for other crimes, not the insurrection or theft of classified documents). What feels unreal is that, while he was awaiting sentencing, he was given the GOP nomination and then elected president.
Somehow I feel I must blame the Democrats and federal prosecutors, but not those who voted for Trump. The Democrats are the only people allowed to have agency. Apparently, Trump supporters just can't help it.
