Speaking freely is one thing. Support of terrorism is another. We rewrote the rules after 9/11 and his legal status is NOT GUARANTEED. He has a higher threshold to uphold his agreement than a citizen.
Those laws are with regard to material support. His actions don't meet the threshold for that term of art. He never left 1A. Which is a restriction on the government. Which means it applies to all within government jurisdiction.
This is why he is allowed his day in court, which I wholly support. We'll see what a judge says.
