There could be exceptions But as a general rule, war is evil in itself, even when morally justified. Evil thus solves nothing. It kills the cancer, but does not solve it. The “just war” theory no longer fits… In theory yes, in practice, no.

One-off military strikes are not war...real wars involve multiple human lives lost or wounded. Could slavery have ended without going to war?...it was tried and failed... Can Iran's nuclear capabilities to reduced to near zero without having to go to war?...they just have.
