Maybe for Amsterdam. However try that in Spain or most of the US or Brazil or Australia. This is why I cannot stand "greens" they're as much nuts as magas. Human comfort isn't bad.

I was talking about northern Europe, a place that I know something about. The amount of people that "need AC" after a couple of days above 35°C is staggering. As is the ignorance of some, not all of these comments.

I'm a Green in Australia and run AC off rooftop solar all the time. The challenge is how to design a green future that is better than the present, not worse. But there is certainly a puritanical element in the Greens as there is most everywhere in politics

Yeah I think we need to leave any "ism" and ideology out of engineering.
