I think we need to stop being dogmatic (and Hungary?? Really?). Ideology especially purist ideology never ends well. And yes... Germany...heck of a job they did..!

Yes, though it pains me to say it, and it sits uneasily with OrbΓ‘n's general schtick, Hungary is way up there in solar renewables. π¬
And I still needw nuclear power if it wants to get off of ruzzian gas. Hence ideology and science/engineering shouldn't mix.
I think maintaining *current* nuclear makes sense, and possibly even upgrading it (e.g. cooling towers instead of unreliable rivers). But, just in commercial terms, ignoring environmental impact & nuclear waste (that has to be guarded for aeons, which costs Β£$β¬), NEW nuclear makes no sense anymore.
And this is not remotely ideological (except maybe to the MAGA crew for whom literacy and numeracy are suspect). 5 years from start to commissioning is shorter than 30 years. Β£50m development cost is less than Β£30bn. 7 years to payback is faster than 40 years to payback. Case closed; move on. π
