I’ve fried some tomatoes that had some yellow or even red in them and they turned out fine. It doesn’t taste as tarty or as firm I will admit.

These are fully ripe, I think they would just disintigrate even with cornmeal crust.

If fully ripe then yes I agree. Tough to find green tomatoes unless you grow them.

It’s tough growing tomatoes in Texas though. North Texas. DFW area. Celebrity are the best in my area. I’m from SW PA so fried green tomatoes was new to me 25 years ago.
