17 years ago today, Scott Richmond (Vancouver, B.C.) made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays. He held the eventual AL pennant-winning Tampa Bay Rays to three runs in 5 1/3 innings at Rogers Centre. He fanned Evan Longoria in the first inning for his first MLB strikeout.
