It’s also incomprehensible from even a realpolitik standpoint. Every country there is richer and more powerful than Russia. It’s only understandable if a) he has a personal affinity for Putin or b) his brain stopped working in the 80s so he still thinks Russia is a great power. Unfortunately both

Trump thinks he is the most important person in the room by nature of being Trump; rather than by him being the President. That is the root of everything that makes him unfit. He views the man as singularly more important than the office.
