This last week I've gotten a ton of new followers, so if you don't know me, I talk American politics but also post my quilting adventures, appreciate fellow creators, talk about Mental Health because my adult children struggle and I work in Middle School. I also talk about my diabetes and I do yoga.

Followed you. Love politics and quilting. I’m not a quilter but my aunt was and she made some beautiful art works.

I love appreciating work that I myself can't do. Thanks for the following.

Thank you for both! I am a slowwww quilter as I have severe medical issues and am not able to quilt every day. But I so enjoy making things that are useful and when I am long gone, the quilt will keep on warming someone. I have a pup, a Frenchy/pug mix who loves sleeping in my lap.

I'm back at work, so my quilting time is minimal again, and I too have a helper. This was her yesterday, my choice was quilting or petting her and you can see what I chose. Lol

A Calico cat sits on a partially completed quilt.

My Pup, LOVES dragging all her toys and bones into my sewing room and playing at my feet. She also has COMPLETELY distroyed some expensive thread cones as she snatches them up and runs like hell, chewing them up as she goes....She thinks she is smart stealing my threads! Not good for her tummy!!!!

Ugh, it's so hard to keep threads away from the pets. The cats love to pull pins out of things so I can't keep anything pre-pinned sitting on my table. Little trouble makers.

Adorable. I have a Babylock Embroidery/sewing machine, the Solaris, that helps me A LOT. But even then i can mess up. And I'm still learning it four years later. Got a serger also but it is still under utilized.

I do everything from beginning to end on my bare bones janome. It's a fantastic machine. But it is nothing fancy. I have been quilting for 25 years and I still make mistakes. But I enjoy what I do and I keep going forward with my skills. I would love a serger.

Yes!!! I always say a skillful artist or sewer can make magic with very little, while struggling folks need the extra bells and whistles. I admit it, without the camera and projector function, I'd be lost as you can MOVE the design over if you mis hooped it.And although I'm getting better, I use it.
