I liked the monkey much more than long legs (which I hate). I just don’t find his writing to be for me. And lately with “horror” so many things that get praised I don’t like (maybe I’ve seen too many). For example I was bored with “Bring Her Back” and people tell me I’m crazy. To each their own 🤷♂️
Nicolas Cage is also terrible in that movie
He was such a waste. I’m usually a Cage apologist as he is one of my favorite actors. But it was just bad.
And I couldn't agree more about Osgood Perkins. A lot of his work is all atmosphere and little else to invest in
BHB is one I loved. Some of that imagery is not only upsetting but genuinely original. It's a dark movie with a great Sally Hawkins performance and character. But I get why others couldn't get on board with it
I’m going to have to watch it again. I thought Hawkins was the best part. And I had had really high hopes as I loved “Talk to Me”. I just was bored with it.
