I checked a couple other skeleton key locks in the house and these are the functional ones. One of my kids ran off with the rest Also, I have some vintage skeleton keys I picked up from thrift stores and flea markets. They are everywhere if you look 🥰

I once had a house built in 1893 that still had a functional attic door using these. The attic was not small; there was a room up there that we guessed was maybe a servant's quarters at some point, based on census data for the house with one person having a different surname.
