Okay, this is another kind of national security issue. Why can we not get explicit justification for why something like the health safety departments should be gutted like this? It's like Trump Admin is trying to get back at COVID19 in an f'd up way.
My deep red state has been going after the health department since COVID. Even without the help from the national level, my state would be looking for ways to to make us go away. This just feeds their plan. I work in public health and we are funded by contracts from the state, funded national.
