From what I've seen reporting on a local level, the biggest concerns are probably not armed agents stationed everywhere but 1) the use of snitches and informants and 2) targeting certain neighborhoods, types of people, and methods of voting for arrest and criminal prosecution (which does happen!)

The people who did resist in the past few elections were clerks and government workers (who are mostly not that political), but elected recorders and secretaries of state are targets. nvm arresting people and charging them with crimes.

It's true that people can ignore stationed ICE agents, but selective prosecution and/ or administrative decisions by some of these election-conspiracy folks are harder for the public to see. Hence why there were tons are articles about militias and very few about the ppl going to prison.

The right takes a fairly standard and multi-pronged approach to all these issues. 1) Change and use the law to arrest and penalize; 2) Bully and harass via formal and informal methods; and 3) Propaganda to normalize.

Not to disagree with the doomer point, but rather that resistance should account for all of these. IDK why but the Democrats haven't seemed to be very good at it!

We need an overarching story that becomes part of the whole of society's narrative to become infused the public see our views as a light about a positive future, not utopia, but a better future due to intact democracy, functioning institutions and an economic system that helps the vast majority.

The right has had a vision of nostalgia as the direction the future should be. Go back to when you believed things were better. We can't become the techno optimists I see the abundance crowd taking that leads to Musk and Garvin nihilism & true destruction. i don't know how to create that narrative.

Whoever can create it and actually get it through to the massive population that wants to fight back will be the best person to lead it. I hope we have multiple people that rise up with varying visions but the same ideas regarding values, morality and how to make a future that works.

Yeah I think the right has done a good job fostering experimentation. 😞

Yep all of it. Just wanted to point out the doomer conclusions that there will be masked feds at every polling place. Subtlerer actions will be taken specific locs thus we need to be strategic & communicate fighting back & reassure people the vast majority of locs will be the same as every election.
