Exactly! I drove westbound over the Mendota Bridge for years, and maybe like 15 years ago not everyone understood zipper merging, but more recently it's been fine. Meanwhile, budging over at the last second to get from northbound 77 to westbound 62 is not a zipper merge; it's just being an asshole.

I may or may not have had 77 to 62 in my mind when I wrote that 😅 we live in Northrop so I'm almost never taking that exit when I'm on 77 but I still have to deal with everyone trying to take it!

That's a prime example. Also that one lane on SB 35W that you're only supposed to use if you're exiting onto Portland. And then 394 coming toward downtown, but I forget which exit it is that always gets backed up.
