Nope. I am grateful he didn't get a pet when he ran and it was a telling sign even before he ran.

I thought the same thing. He seems very uncomfortable around dogs. I saw him attempt to pet one that someone had, and it looked forced.

Of course anything living thing that requires attention and love is beyond him. I notice no plants in his homes either
