Israel has warned Europe that if a Palestinian state is recognised, Israel might annexe West Bank territories, Axios reports. Europe said any annexation could result in sanctions.

If Israel did annex the West Bank that effectively means the palestinians living there become citizens of Israel. Hard to then see how Israel could remain a jewish state for long, as those palestinans must eventually be given voting rights (South Africa style bantustans would fail, if tried)

What’s all this ‘could’? Israel is not ‘warning’, it’s been slowly ‘annexing’ the West Bank for years. Soon there’ll be no land on which to base a Palestinian state. And that’s why the ‘2-state solution’ is put forward by western nations but never progresses. They KNOW that it’ll soon be too late!

They did not go in, there was a political process for years before, UNPROFOR was based on Resolution 743 in 92, 781 created the restricted Air Space, 816 gave the measures to ensure the no-flight zone. 836 was the final step which led to the bombardment. All these resolutions needed the approval ->

BTW For Rwanda, The commander of the Mission wanted to intervene bc he knew about the upcoming genocide and he had the means to do it but he was not allowed to do so, his request was refused by then ASG for Peacekeeping Operations, Kofi Annan, it was simply not covered by the mandate legally, ->
