Kind of thinking that Ukraine doesn't need to stick to the mineral deal if Trump doesn't hold up his end. What's he gonna do? come and dig it up himself?

I’m not sure he even has an ‘end’ in that deal; he just twisted their arm into signing.

Yup. But his leverage on the deal is limited. If Putin takes the ground I can’t see him sharing the spoils with the USA. So the only way Ukraine honors the deal is if there’s still a Ukraine to honor it.
