Excellent question! I think part of it depends on if they are using D&D or Daggerheart (and I’m guessing it will be Daggerheart, since they created it). If they do Daggerheart, I’d suggest watching some of the one shots they’ve done with it so you can see that system. (I can send you a list)

If they do D&D, then it depends what you’re looking for. Campaign 1 (Vox Machina) is traditional D&D. It’s harder to get into because it was their home game so it starts in the middle of the story, but I love it! (Also, “the legend of Vox Machina” on Prime is an animated series of this campaign)

Campaign 2 (Mighty Nein) is probably the most popular. Very fun characters, pushing boundaries a bit more, and a full story from beginning to end. (The animated series for this starts in the fall).

Campaign 3 (Bell’s Hells) is the most recent and pulls together a lot from the earlier campaigns, so it might not be the best starting point. But if you’re okay with not knowing who people are, it will introduce you to the characters from 1 and 2 as well.

I like knowing people (and I think I’ll enjoy campaign 4 more if I also get to know the various players etc). I think I’ll start with 2, catch up on the animated for 1, and go from there.Thank you for signing on to be the person I text with all my thoughts and feelings throughout this process 💕
