Look, at 58, I’m not all that “old.” When I was a kid growing up in rural Missouri, it got cold as hell and first snowed in mid-November each year, and the ground stayed white until at least early March. A climate scientist is not required to know Earth is getting warmer. I wore shorts yesterday.

60 or so years ago my dad would take us kids ice skating between Christmas and New Years on a local pond it wasn't until late January that the pond froze over last year

Up north here. And over the last 20 years it has gotten milder and the snow falls later and doesn't stay on the ground for long. Pretty soon it will be one slightly cold month and 11 months in hell.

The problem isn’t, ‘We don’t believe the earth is warming’. The problem is, ‘We believe God is in control of everything, therefore the earth warming is okay.’ America is a backwards country, more similar to Afghanistan than Europe.

So much for that being good stewards of the earth thing. More like drunken frat boys destroying the frathouse, because they won't be there long enough for it to matter. Unfortunately for these idiots, they might have to answer for stuff since it's happening faster than they thought.

Yep. In New England we would usually get the first snow in October, and snow that stuck in November. You had to wear a winter coat on Halloween. Now it's just rainy and in the 40s most of the time, with the occasional cold snap. It gets cold but doesn't STAY cold.

You don't need to go that far back. I moved to MA in 1994. I don't think it ever rained in December here until about a couple of years ago.

My dad, 68, who also grew up in rural Missouri, literally uttered that exact statement on Thanksgiving, but yet, thinks climate change is bs. *sigh* heck, the I'm 41 and remember having much more snow as a child.

Here in Southern NH its commonly in the 60's or 70s into November and it just doesn't snow much anymore. I stopped downhill skiing because the snow is too unpredictable to pay the outrageous prices

And they’ve redrawn the hardiness zones. We’re able to grow plants we couldn’t grow before further north because of the warming. Are plants in on the climate “conspiracy “ too?

I’m 68, I saw lumber trucks drive across Oyster Bay, peeled bark off birch trees, got minor frost bite walking to school, skated on ponds and didn’t see Canada geese in the winter.

I live in Memphis. I saw a “Bygone Days” photo in the Commercial Appeal of teenagers who all owned ice skates and skated on the lake in Overton Park all winter. I think it was from the 1940s. I don’t know anyone in Memphis with ice skates. The lake in Overton Park never freezes anymore.
