My SS payments have been reduced because I was a teacher and oh my state took away my cola from my retirement. How many hits to do expect me to take???? I paid into SS I should get ALL of it back!

This bill will benefit people who like me contributed both to Social Security and a State pension. As it stands ous Social Security is reduced because we have a State pension. It's a "Windfall" for us to receive what we paid for🤬 This WEP bs was brought by RReagan. Stealing from workers.

What they need to do is codify each citizens rights to hat which was paid by them and for them by their employers. It is shocking “that protection” does not exist in legislation

Yeah, my SS check will go up $23 to $962. Got the letter today that my snap benefit will decrease from $64 to $54. That's a net gain of $15. I don't expect my lifestyle to change.

Senate Republicans are realizing they’ll lose the Senate during the midterms if they take Social Security away from people. They’ll hold off, retake the Senate in 2 years and THEN take it away
