The nuclear deal with Obama was obviously working and America's own intelligence said Iran wasn't working on a bomb. This is not only just a pretext for bombing Iran, it is also pushing Iran into a corner where they are more likely to seek one since nothing they do can prevent an attack.
This is just standard "I'm the adult in the room making the hard decisions" rhetoric, where the hard decisions are always suffered by someone else. It's also counterproductive to safety everywhere else in the world.
Aside from all that, Iran last week showed it has the capacity to severely damage Israel without nukes. They didn't until Israel did a surprise attack on them using negotiation over this very nuclear issue which killed hundreds of their civilians.
