Every time some MAGA account on X replies to one of my posts on the terror being inflicted with the immigration raids with, "You're against those who broke the law and came here illegally being held accountable??" I am reminded of just how many of them cheered when Trump pardoned convicted felons.
Sure, but it's a misdemeanor. Why are we okay with assaulting and trafficking folks over a misdemeanor, but a felon rapist can be President and not be held accountable? How much money are we *wasting* punishing people over petty-ass misdemeanors.

I have spent a great deal of time reviewing protest videos, and in 80% of the cases, violence is instigated by ICE or counter protesters. This is nothing new. I saw the same at protests in the 60’s and 70’s.

I'd feel better if "held accountable" meant hiring immigration judges to shorten the wait for a hearing so people weren't held in a detention center worse than prison for the equivalent of driving a car without a valid registration....

Remind them also, after cleaning the wax out of their ears with a ramrod, that many of these immigrants were fulfilling their legal obligations reporting to immigration courts, but were detained anyway. Not criminals. Seeking asylum thru legal channels is not a crime.
