I check on Project 2025 every now and then. It was 42% for a while. It just jumped to 46%. What changed it, I dont know. But just 6 months in, and they have accomplished nearly half of it. Look at everything that's happening. Our democracy is dwindling away fast.

National and foreign lobbies should be super illegal because that affects regular people's lives.
They are always asking for f.. ing donation like regular people have money to donate to them. And when they win people just get some minimum benefits while Oligarchs and tycoons get everything. The same thing with lobbies that only work is to screw up regular people.
Citizen's United HAS to be eradicated and stuffed back up Bush's ass from whence it came and a complete leveling of the lobby system must occur as well. America has been sold out from under our feet and the elected Dems stood around holding their collective dicks.

I think it took some lifelong Dem voters a while to recalibrate re: how fucking useless the party turned out to be in a crisis. But the evidence just kept piling up to the point where anyone who still didn't see it was just burying their head in the sand.
The inaction from the beginning was absolutely stunning. Democratic leaders should have been prepared in the same way JB Pritzker shored up the laws in Illinois to Trump/Project 2025 proof Illinois. The Biden administration could have done that too.
That couldn't have been done at a federal level without the cooperation of Congress, that we didn't have.
They could have had it right after the election or at least had a plan. The Dems never get in the fight. With few exceptions they are bystanders.
That's why we need term limits. Bernie Sanders, for example, has been in Congress for 35 years and has only passed 3 bills. Two of which were just to rename Vermont post offices. Many are ineffective and need to go regardless of party.

Speaking as one of those guys who's "doing fine", and having many, many friends in the same situation, most of us are incensed that the Dems have done nothing substantive to curb the tide of fascism.

Well, in his autobiography, Obama claims that prosecuting bank fraudsters in 2009 would have been disruptive. Had he perp-walked the worst offenders, there’d be a permanent Democratic majority. Fascism attempts to consolidate inequality. A party identified with capital will not fight that.
My comment wasn't about whether Obama did well as president, I have lots of complaints about that. What I meant was that the R's did a great job of throwing a monkey wrench into nearly everything he attempted, which is the energy I would have liked to see the Ds bring to the fight against fascism.
My point is that the absence of energy, that you correctly describe, is caused — by D’s identification with capital. They didn’t fight because R’s did nothing at all to threaten capital. If the stock market gets badly hurt by fascism — then the DNC may actually come to life.

Well we are not a third party country. We pretty much have to go with re-making the Dems, which IS possible. We have to end Citizens United, impeach some Justices, change some laws to close loopholes, elect some left-wing Dems like Chris Murphy, AOC, Bernie, Jasmine Crockett etc. Change DNC.
