You don't have to be fearless to resist like hell. You just have to be committed to the cause. You only need to have a big enough reason WHY you are resisting. When you do...fear amounts to a pimple on a gnats ass.

Here are some small acts to get people started. (Even starting small is better than not starting at all!)
Its even more than resisting. These are not normal times. People need to think on a whole different level. Down through history Characters like this arise. If you don't fight on another level you will be another history footnote.
I truly hope your countrymen are listening to you Jack 🙏🇨🇦
Whenever someone fights Trump, he backs down. That's why the cowardice of DC Dem Leadership has me baffled and make me sick at the same time. Trump & the GOP count on Dems rolling over. They've been rolling over for 20+ years.
If it matters enough, there is no fear.
Consistency and a clear message is the way... But fearlessness and resisting like hell works too... I like them both 😜
Can you CC Tim Cooke?

Yep. This is the place my ancestors fled to, when the places they were from were falling apart. This is the place I grew up, and it was a good place then. This is the place my children will inherit, and I want to know they'll be happy and healthy when I'm gone before I can leave this place.
Damn right,Jack
I'm okay with dying if I do it protecting those I love. Seems like a good way to go.
FEAR = False Evidence Appears Real Stand strong because you’re not wrong!
👍💯💯
Make right today and the next. Stop watching bad/good. Have talks. ❤️💪🫵✌️🇩🇰👊
A major problem is that all we do is react. We need a united front, a goal, and a plan. There are dozens, if not hundreds of groups all doing their own thing. Millions of dollars are being wasted on ads and fighting propaganda when we could be doing meaningful work to turn it around.
There is an element to the "eating an elephant" metaphor that should be applied. Invite others to the feast. Speak up. Illustrate to others that boldness grows stronger when we act together. Even in areas where Ignorance dominates, there are many who agree. Invite and reach out to any and all.
That’s how the GOP got what they have today. One bite at a time. DEMS need to do same. We can’t have everything ALL at once. Fight a couple of causes at a time. Some will have to wait a bit longer. Stop infighting!!
Yes! It is so important to recognize this. It is also important to support healthy discussion/debate. We can hold differing views on solutions and corrective measures, but successful corrective planning requires a factual basis.
My reason? I can’t afford mental health care. I’ve taken maybe a year off in 25 years of customer service jobs. People are rude, and I have to be pleasant to them every day. But a $200mil ballroom? Spending $150K a year for each prisoner in alligator alkatraz? Seems like legit spending
My reason is my grandkids. They deserve the same freedoms I enjoyed and honestly took for granted until recently.
That’s exactly how I feel about my Grandchildren and our country. I am certainly guilty of assuming America would always have our back. I was so wrong…
Resist like you and your family's future depends on it, because it does.
I learned a long time ago that you can't be afraid and angry at the same time. That's why I always strive to have a little edge in situations when I'm nervous. It crowds it right out.
Fear can be a direct gateway to fearlessness if we train body + mind (e.g. breathing). IMHO anger, especially if rooted in hate for our adversary is like getting drunk so you can fight better - not effective technique.
I said a little edge, definitely not black out rage though. Call it a focused determination if you will. Just enough to push fear and doubt aside.
Indeed. We are learning to be warriors of kindness & we won't give up. I hear you & hope we can all stop reproducing the market culture habit of outrage as fuel.
That is good advice. Hell, I'll use this all the time!
What in the sam hell are you talking about? Have you ever been shot at in an ambush? It shows.
Fear often leads directly to anger. They're part of the same, instinctive responses. They call 'fight or flight' for a reason. The right prey on these feelings. Anger and fear are the simplest emotions to manipulate people with.
May god grant you the wisdom to distinguish fear from sorrow... Using anger to avoid feeling sad is very destructive.
That's sadness. Anger over Fear All Day Mother🤬! (My apologizes. Got a little scared).
If what you fear is sadness, using anger to mask it will not be helpful.
Well lets test it, ya Sad, Fearful Mother🤬 Oooo! Now that hit the spot!
I am not afraid of being sad, so I don't have to use anger to cover it up. Morons often have a hard time understanding this.
Tru. Wow! You know so much aboot us Morons! Yet somehow you forgot that we Morons don't lose sleep over what Sad-Ass Mother🤬ers are crying aboot!
I am not afraid and will do what it takes, but just feel like the boy who cried wolf and don't know how to wake the others up. Feels like anything I am doing is in vain and not moving the needle. Not sure how best to change things.
That is totally depressing. I guess the US of A was destined for democratic failure.
Right. The couple days before the No Kings protests, people planning to be in DTLA were warned about agent provocateurs and Nazi's showing up. I took the metrolink in (25mi out from DTLA), at every stop, mine included), were 25-50 people boarding, with their signs. We attended and gained strength.
I have witness the lifelong wounds of child abuse victims and think abusers should be isolated from decent society not shit in the oval office.
The American president ‘shits’ wherever he pleases on any given day…
I am 70 yo. I have strong family support. Not much to lose… at least not for that long. One advantage I have is that I vividly remember the 196x’s. We are in a different world, but I have the lived experience of citizens making a difference & changing our govt. policies. Millenneals & GenX don’t.
That's cool. But just so you know, I'm fearless. DHS already knows. 😁
Heading to twenty to thirty years of worldwide authoritarian rule followed by a very bloody world wide revolution. If you don’t want your children or grandchildren to take part in what will be a bloodbath then we all need to stand up now and take the risks ourselves.
