My one point of contention is that I do think that the negative cohesion can be carried on by other Republicans. Maybe not as well as Trump has, but with how united by their hate of liberals and progressives, I think some can keep it going enough to still pose a major threat.

I say this because alot of the hatred of the various groups overlaps at this point, and to varying degrees some of them have been hating even before Trump came along and still caused plenty of trouble before him.

Even with factionalism kicking into gear, even if they pursue their agenda's separately, they'll still in many cases be able or willing to make common cause often enough to remain a major roadblock.

Jack, thank you. This was very well thought out and presented. I feel that there is another scenario. These are early days of this outlaw administration. What if Trump is able to secure himself as the tyrant that he's always wanted to be? Like North Korea he could make anyone his successor.

The pundents don't want to admit it because they don't think we know that Maga is his creation based on his views. Without him it all dies.

Agree…the whole point of a cult is the leader. Without the leader, it doesn’t exist. MAGA doesn’t care about policy or values. That’s why Trump can change his position on any topic and they follow him. Sad to see how many sheep there are.

I have been saying the same thing since before he was elected. It may take a little time, but without trump they will fracture (maga) as well as trump’s administration. The only thing that Vance has that is homogenous with trump is the racism. Vance is not trump and his delivery is totally off.

Great read and spot on. The only thing I would add is for those that think Vivek or Byron can step in and lead MAGA after Fat Nixon finally buys it, there's one small problem with that... Wrong color. But the inevitability of the post-Trump splintering and self-immolation of MAGA will be a hoot.
