I looked at the entry and exit wounds in a closeup video and seems to have come from his completely right side. But the building on which that shooter was, was more towards the center, unless I’m mistaken.

I don't think practice is enough here. At 200 yards hitting a target on a range and hitting a person surrounded by a crowd is a very different process. Breathing gets harder to control, heart rate goes up, all that interferes with placing a shot, especially if you're not used to it.

500 feet is 166 yards. Most people deer hunting shoot around 200 yards killing a deer. Definitely an easy shot. At 16, my first deer was shot at over 250 yards.

My church marches in the Olympia WA pride parade every year. This year, we noticed snipers on the roof of one of the taller buildings along the parade route. It was OlyPD protecting the people. It's possible this guy was a LEO.
The other thing is that if the sniper was on the roof, I'm thinking that the canopy of the tent would have obstructed the aim as he was sitting toward the back of the tent.

We hit human silhouette popup targets in the Army at 50 to 300 meters with an M-16, part of marksmanship practice. That said, any hit on the silhouette was considered a good shot, and was counted. Was anybody else injured? The idea that only one shot was used, or considered needed hints at a scope

It's a convenient distraction from the EPSTEIN FILES! Having said that, I do feel incredibly sorry for his family.
When the postmortem is published these questions will be answered. He was a 31 year old healthy man. His heart kept pumping until it lost oxygen, insulin, and glucose. 5 liters of blood is quite a mess. My guess: the hydrostatic shock transected whatever circulatory vessels the bullet didn't.
2/2 My opinion: even a seasoned trauma surgeon standing relatively close to Kirk would have been hard pressed to save his life with the likely extremely limited supply of makeshift tools one could have expected to find. The amount of internal damage and location of the noted vessels=bad combination

Takes some skill to hit a 3 in wide target from 200 yards out with elevation. Even with bullet drop it was an intended head shot or muzzle jump from a center mass. Thats not really a casual target shooter. Poor old guy carried away in cuffs w/pants down in ankles wasn’t the shooter.
I watched the close-up vid abt 12x before they took it down. It was over. His head inflated like a balloon (way more than usual) for abt 10th of a second, from the pressure of the bullet entering his neck. It forced his eyes shut. The inside of his head was scrambled like eggs.
Watched the video as well. Saw a small dot on his shirt in his left upper chest. Blood appeared from it. Could be blood splatter or a possible entrance wound with the exit wound in the neck? I feel death was instantaneous.

Bleed out time from an artery can vary considerably, there's been cases of people who survived a long time afterwards, others die quickly. There's video footage of a guy who was shot in the thigh, his femoral artery was severed. He's talking but after 40 secs, rolls over unconscious, died later.
