Apolgies if my reply seemed argumentative. I'd rank it as "firm." I have 15 years experience of actually using the algorithms you describe on a half-dozen platforms, with fairly large accounts (larger than this one) on most and literally hundreds of thousands of posts. That experience informs me.

Then we disagree on the tone side. I’d say it’s probably preferable ask a question or two before wading in with assumptions about the reasons behind someone’s behaviour… on topic maybe give that documentary a watch and see what you think. Think they interviewed creators of some social media platfs
