I was hanging out (visiting) in Paris during their strikes. Garbage was lining the streets. Trains ran whenever. Police and military all in the streets. Restaurants boarded up during the protests in the areas where people gathered. It was very well organized. 1/2

There are too many people who are so frikking myopic that they don't see this as an effective tactic. Even tho it IS probably the only thing that will BE effective.

Start with 1 day. It's the number of people who down tools that would matter. But if you call for a general strike and nobody shows, you're worse off. So planning is everything.
