I don't know if this is a good thing for Democrats in Iowa. Whoever the Republicans nominate, that person won't be running with Ernst's baggage. They will probably be just as big a whack-a-do, but they will be a clean one.

You can't run as a Republican anymore in Iowa without carrying Trump's baggage. At this point, that's what's dirty, especially in a midterm.
