You’re exactly right, Flash! So many problems are caused by people, not knowing how to listen.
Family is sometimes the worst when it comes to that. Being the middle child, I get it from all sides. I used to get upset & argue with them. But I've mellowed out as I've gotten older. I've tried to learn from my experiences & listen to what is being said.
I know as a parent, I was also guilty of “preaching” and talking too much when I should have listened more.
I'm not a parent, but I've been guilty of that, especially with my siblings. Although, when you get all of us in a room together there is way too much talking & not enough listening.
