This is not an endorsement of any specific form of state violence, but as a general rule, assuming that violence is a pervasive and fundamental part of human societies, you want that violence to be regulated and to serve pro-social ends.

Cities are already footing the bill on pro stadiums/arenas yet the profits go to the team owners. I don’t see how violence outside of sports serves anything “social” to a betterment.
