Had a southern guy tell me his state's problems were due to 40 years of Democratic policies before the Republicans got in. I pointed out that the Republicans had been in power for 40 years and it didn't look like they were making it any better.

I'm from Indiana. Conservatives have held the Indiana General Assembly and the Governor's office for the last 24 years and yet, somehow, it's always the Democrats' fault that our state sucks ass.
