You must be joking.
“People who dislike this movie are wrong” “That’s a ridiculous take” “You just be joking” This is me in high school - “if you hate this album you are an idiot” - before I realized that you can use numerous descriptive words to describe how you feel
I do not understand anyone can think that we are supposed to feel that the movie is sympathetic with Joe Cross?!? Especially with his ultimate humiliations at the end?!?
False equivalence
I mean, sure, because it’s a joke. Sorry that movie didn’t work for you! I wish everyone had as much fun watching it as I did
I think you could make a case for pity, but not sympathy
like, I get it, he has a wheeze and he's cucked and he's outmatched by fate and lack of intelligence and even has a cabal of shadowy conspiratorial crisis actors (lol) chasing him around in a scenario that puts him in the white-hat sheriff role, but he is a despicable man who is never once *wronged*
Also, movies aren't arguments. They're movies. "Both sides bad" is an argument one can make, but I'm fairly certain that's not the purpose of this piece of entertainment.
