Bro, the reason they're talking about gun control rn is because minorities are realizing that the second amendment applies to us, too. they don't want us able to defend ourselves.

That's definitely part of it, like in 1967 when California introduced gun control legislation to counter the Black Panthers arming themselves. In NJ they've made it cost prohibitive to (legally) exercize a constitutional right for anyone not solidly in the middle class.
