When dealing legally with the dregs of society, one must be careful that there are no procedural errors to be used to the dregs' advantage.

The judge was critical of the auction process. Considered it too opaque and chaotic. Doesn't look like it bars taking another try at it if done properly. The Onion might still prevail.
