The whole and entire role of the NYT and the rest of the so-called "mainstream" corporate media is to sanitize, normalize and legitimize right-wing Republican propaganda to make it palatable to a mass audience. Fox News preaches to the MAGA choir. The NYT is "Fox News for the rest of us".

Given that the NYT only has this bias for the far right, I don’t think this is the underlying issue. Seems to me that over time the ownership of the NYT has aligned itself less with journalism and more with the ownership class.

I’ll say it a million times: NYT writers and mgmt never ever encounter any of these type of people in real life so when they do they only know how to filter them through the NYT reality “immigrants are ruining this country” becomes “economic anxiety” bc they can’t rationalize actual racism

Nyt is dishonest and in the tank for billionaires. Which indeed, makes them an enemy of the people.
