The weird trick is the R's are afraid of something. They weren't before. I'm mean, great, let's keep it going,but the same tactic could not work before because there was no Epstein issue to frighten them. They let D's talk before b/c it wasn't a concern, now their "boss" doesn't like the talk.
The Epstein stuff specifically has been common knowledge since his first term, and if it hadn't been, they could have done this kind of procedural sabotage with any number of other scandals, real or imagined. They didn't need to wait for Bondi to own-goal this particular thing in.
Disagree. It had to be something they were in turmoil over. Plenty of MAGA are a bit disillusioned with who is being rounded up by ICE, but the R's aren't trying to stop the talk about it because there isn't an internal concern about support. Epstein complaints are coming from inside the house.
I guess we'll never know since they didn't try. 🤷
