I am not active on FB. However, every once in a while I get an email alert about a relative’s post and I check to make sure things are OK. And every time I see people I used to know spouting such utter bullshit that it enrages me.

I recently missed my 50th high school reunion because I had made other plans that couldn’t be changed. After checking out the Facebook posts of some of my classmates, I’m glad I didn’t go. A few hard core MAGA cultists might have made the whole thing unpleasant, and would have ruined my memories.

I stay on FB to keep in touch with my dog sports buddies, but am very liberal with the Block option. STILL, a day doesn’t go by when I don’t consider deleting it entirely! Zuck could remove the trash, especially all the obvious bots, but chooses not to.

I dumped FB entirely when Zuckerberg said he was no longer “fact checking”. I really don’t miss it. Also, IG, which I do miss my future DIL on because she’s across the pond.

I miss what it used to be. As a cyclist it was great for organizing locally with people and and interests similar to that. Hate that it all evaporated so fast just before '16.

Yeah, lots of old acquaintances and such turned into anti-vaxxers. I dip in from time to time but it's the same old deal. Keep a friendly distance and just don't engage, etc.

Same, FB has become a toxic cesspool of bullshit. For quite some time I really tried to help them see the truth, but my efforts were wasted. It’s been hard to watch friends & family who I thought were smart go down deep dark rabbit holes, never to return. One guy I used to know is now a flat earther

What enrages me about FB is the poor judgement of otherwise smart(ish) people. I know details about the lives of people I hardly know, and their adult and minor children, because so many on FB prioritize bragging over safety and privacy for themselves and others.

I’ve been on a FB hiatus since January, deleted the app and all that but kept the account. Every now and then I end up on FB in my browser via Google searching for things and even tho I’m not interacting on FB at all, I’ve unfriended former friends who I’ve seen saying the most heinous shit there :(
