Not only is Prey a genuinely good Predator movie, but it is also a genuinely good movie in general. Tied with Predators for my favorite in the series.

Hold up, Prey is fantastic but nothing else in the series comes close to the original. The viking bit of Killer of Killers was decent but it goes downhill fast after that.

Prey is great, and i don’t think it’s a coincidence that it feels the closest to one of the 90s Darkhorse comics. The formula there was rock solid: Pick a time, place, and period appropriate warrior, and throw a predator at them.
