First, sorry folks make hard discussions even harder. Also, may I recommend writing an essay, screenshotting it, and posting w/ alt? As you’re correct, this space makes the convo hard. Your thread has multiple points that one page would make easier to parse out. Feel free to disregard this. 1/4

(I have a habit of getting lost in thought, so advising based on exp) If you’re up to it, I want to discuss: “I do not believe that the output of generative models is plagiarism” This, I feel you tried to answer with knowledge that it’s a philosophical issue, so can vary on personal views. 2/4

My response, is intent and action really matters. First problem, the models are fed the work of people. For art, the prompters go out of their way to name the artist to steal their style. Both would go under scrutiny as plagiarism if an artist goes out of their way to deny this. 3/4

I want to say more, but trying to focus on one of the things you offered to the table of discussion. Tho, for transparency, I do occasionally call “AI” over glorified multi-filtered search engines. Yes, my coding knowledge is incredibly old. On tech, I defer to tech friends. 4/4
