I definitely have some issues with the way that particular job field is being leveraged in this job market.

Worst is how it’s getting treated like UX and UI is the same thing. Hate when I see that a big company is looking for a “UX/UI” designer.

I’m one of them. I exist in a no-man’s land.

if you know how to do UI, you don’t necessarily need to know a lot about UX (just look at all the “a or b” posts on twitter). If you know UX (you know how to conduct research, validate the data, etc.) you don’t need to be a UI god. Of course they are closely connected, but it’s not the same thing.

It’s gonna be all “brand designers” and their gonna be expected to do product design too
