I just got my card! What percentage did it cover?

Oh! You should have gotten a pamphlet with the card that goes over percentages and caps. If not there’s a breakdown of the services covered, frequency limitations and co-pay/fee (at least that’s what it looks like to me) at https://www.sunlife.ca/sl/cdcp/en/provider/dental-benefit-grids/

It seemed like close to 90%. I gather there are limits on some services but so far I'm pretty happy.

IIRC the annual limit is 1k$…maybe a bit more? It covered my first couple appointments with a new dentists and a few cleanings.

That’s great. Last time I got out of there with a 650$ bill. I’ll take anything. Oh I asked the dentist to fix 5 of my front teeth and he quoted 17k I laughed in his face. Got out of there, never went back. New dentist.

That’s utter f-ing madness. 3k+ per tooth?? The maximum one could expect per tooth (and that’s surgical extraction) is maybe 500$. That bill would cover the extractions and new implants for every one of them, with IV sedation tossed in for good measure. Fuck that guy.
