Some of these departments should be closed or at least some of their “scholars” should be dismissed for doing such consistently terrible work. If all you’re going to do is use your authority to spread lies, you have no business in the academy.

One thing I’ll say about this is in the days and weeks after 10/7, a small theme on left twitter was rationalizing the attack by saying something to the effect of, “If native Americans did this today in my community, and they came for me, I would allow it. I would let them kill me.”

Such a bizarre accusation. One thing I will say though is there is a dearth of actual Palestinian voices in this discourse. I don’t know why this is. I can’t even really tell what the author is getting at. Maybe some general reference to oppression, not actually anything specific.
