Does majority and minority mean the same thing in Canada as it does in the US? It's my first Canadian election to follow. lol

From my understanding, in order for a party to have majority they need 172 seats or more. If a party has the most seats but didn't get to 172, it's a minority government. Meaning the Liberals have to cooperate with the other parties.

It’s callled the parliamentary system. Carney will need to form a coalition to get 50.1%. I believe France, England and other parliaments are currently there. It’s how Bibi is staying in power in Israel, giving the extreme right what they want to stay in power (eg Ben Ghivir). Good? Bad?
