Omelas is a dystopian paradise whose excellence depends on keeping one child in perpetual misery, as the exception to the rule. Tortured, starved, imprisoned, kept from everything Omelas offers everyone else. "I'm okay with 99% acceptance" explicitly ISN'T acceptance. Trans people deserve dignity.
