The muscle definition on that back haunch really is perfect. Looks like there is really a hip bone under there.

Thank you! There is a wire playing the part of bone. But I have also found that needle felting is a bit like oil painting, in that certain gestures can hide detail that doesn't actually exist, thanks to how our eyes and brains like to interpolate.
